ILDRA RIDE AT SHANE'S CASTLE 2006

ILDRA RIDE AT SHANE'S CASTLE

125 pleasure riders turned out to take part in the ILDRA ride, around Shanes Castle on Sunday. Fortunately, (although it was a rather chilly day for May), the rain held off, making for an enjoyable trek around the 5.5 mile course.

The course lead through both gardens and farmland and included a lovely grass track along the riverbank, which proved popular for a good canter.

All who took part agreed it had been a very enjoyable day. Kathy Conly once again took on the role of organiser, and even managed to make time for a lap of the course on her International horse; Ellanora. It was nice to see many non-members taking part as well, with many new faces from such establishments as Lime Park Equestrian Centre participating.

ILDRA would also like to send best wishes to one of it's members Philip Giles Who is currently recovering from a riding accident, we all hope you'll get well soon!

The next ride is on Sunday 28th of May in Glenariff Forest Park with PR's and CTR's of up to 50 miles, organiser Gail Bailie;

02828278009 / 0796846794.
